The conference begins at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 30th, and finishes at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 2nd. The agenda will be available on the CVPC website after September 1, 2011.

For travel arrangements, please contact the Executive Secretary at (916) 558-5380. If you prefer, you can make your own travel arrangements and you are eligible to be reimbursed by filling out a travel claim form (be sure to save all of your receipts).

Meals:
There will be a continental breakfast Saturday and Sunday.
For lunch on Saturday we will be having Macaroni & Cheese.
For dinner on Saturday we will be having Mesquite Chicken.

ServSafe Information:
The ServSafe class starts at 10:00 a.m. on Friday and will last all day. The class will be held in its own breakout room.

****VENDORS MUST SUPPLY THEIR OWN MATERIALS AND ANSWER SHEET****

Order information for the vendor:  Vendors will order their own material from the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation online at www.servsafe.com or by phone at 1-800-765-2122.

Vendors have several options - choose what works best for you.
1)   ServSafe Essential textbook with exam sheet $70.30     ESX5

3)   ServSafe Essential Text, Spanish with exam$70.38     ESX5SP

The full course book is also available through the www.servsafe.com website for $86.00.

Audio CD of the course book and the essentials book are available by contacting Andy Brown, Training Conference Chair, at (916) 955-9320. If you choose the CD you will still need to purchase the answer sheet from the Education Foundation. Be sure to allow enough time for shipping!

Vendors who are only ordering the scantron sheets have the option of sending a check for $38.00 to Andy Brown, Training Conference Chair, by September 5, 2011, and he will order them.

Vendors must bring the answer sheet to the training to be eligible for the Certification test. The test, as before, will be read to the whole group at the end of the day. Vendors will have the choice to document their answers by one of the following means:
1)   The small ServSafe answer sheet
2)   Use a large print answer sheet
3)   Circle answers in the test booklet, 14 point font
4)   Use a sighted person to document answers using a tactic technique during the reading
5)   Read and document answer for yourself

Vendors may also bring employees to ServSafe if they have a scantron.

Vendors should contact Central Office at (916) 558-5345 to enroll. Inform Central Office how you would like to document your answers and if there are any other accommodations you might need.
